The above tender has been updated due to some changes in the Bills of Quantities. As a result of these changes, the bids will be opened on Friday 22nd March 2019 at 10:00am and not on 14th March 2019.

The tender document for the above tenders can be viewed and downloaded from our web site www.kerra.go.ke or obtained from our KeRRA Regional Offices – Samburu.

FOR FY. 2018-2019

The Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA) is a State corporation established under the Kenya Roads Act, 2007, with the responsibility for management, development, rehabilitation and maintenance of rural roads.

The Authority hereby invites PREQUALIFIED BIDDERS ONLY(Grading and Gravelling Equipment based)  for Routine Maintenance and Spot improvement works of roads to be funded under 10% Special funding (Financial Year 2018-2019) as detailed here below: -

The scope of works is but not limited to as detailed on every road. See next page

QUALIFICATION FOR BIDDING

The requirements for Bidding are as follows: -

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS – SEE INSTRUCTION TO BIDDERS

1. Certified copy of Certificate of Incorporation
2. Certified copy of proof of registration with National Construction Authority (NCA).
3. VAT registration / PIN registration
4. Certified copy of Valid Tax compliance certificate
5. Certified Copy of Recent CR12 Form – (12months) from Registrar of Companies
6. Proof of having opened a bank account in the contractor’s name.
7. Signed and filled Bills of quantities page
8. Signed and witnessed Form of bid.
9. Any other condition as stipulated in the Tender Documents

TECHNICAL EVALUATION REQUIREMENTS

Thresholds specified in the Bid documents covering the following:

• Similar previous experience
• Equipment holding
• Professional and Technical Personnel
• Turnover and liquid assets supported by audited/-projected accounts for the last 1 year.
• Current workload
• Litigation history

Interested eligible contractors may obtain tender documents from the KeRRA website, www.kerra.go.ke or from the Procurement Office-KeRRA Samburu  from 27/2/2019 during working hours (8.00am – 5.00pm) upon presentation of a banking slip indicating payment of a non-refundable fee of Kshs 1000.00 (Kenya shillings One thousand only) per document, banked in Kenya Commercial Bank, Moi Avenue Branch Nairobi, Account No. 1114343196 in favour of Kenya Rural Roads Authority. Tender documents reserved for Y, W & PWD are free. Please NOTE all documents must be registered before submitting them.

Mandatory site visit shall be held as scheduled below starting at 8.00am at the respective constituency offices. Bidders will be required to provide their own transport during the exercise.

Duly completed tender documents in plain sealed envelopes marked with the respective tender number and project name should be submitted to:- The Regional Manager, Samburu Region
