The Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA) is a State Corporation established under the Kenya Roads Act, 2007 with the responsibility for Management, Development, Rehabilitation and Maintenance of Rural Roads network in Kenya.
The Authority hereby invite bids from pre-qualified contractors for the maintenance of the following roads in Turkana Region for the Financial year 2018/19 to be funded through the 22% Road Maintenance Levy Fund (RMLF).
Eligible firms may download the tender documents from KeRRA website: www.kerra.go.ke free of charge or obtain the tender documents from our procurement office upon payment of non refundable tender fee of Kenya shillings One thousand Shillings Only (1,000/- ) per tender in form of bankers cheque addressed to Kenya Rural Roads Authority(KeRRA ).
There will be Mandatory pre tender site visit as indicated above starting 9:00am from regional office and bidders must ensure that pre tender site visit certificate or register are signed by the respective Constituency roads officer(CRO) or the Engineer.
Qualification for Tendering (Mandatory)
- Certificate of Incorporation
- National Construction Authority Certificate (NCA) (c) Valid PIN/VAT Registration Certificates.
- Valid Tax Compliance Certificate.
- Proof of having opened a bank account in the contractor’s name.
- Experience of the contractor on similar works.
- Professional and technical personnel CV & Certificate as required.
- All documents must be bound, serialized & pages indicated for each bid submitted.
- Prequalification of the contractor on the categories and constituency tendered (j) Properly filled form of bid, stamped and signed (k) Proof of Pre tender site visit.
- Schedule of supplementary information, all forms must be filled appropriately
- Copies of the National ID and C12 of the directors
- Certificate of registration in target group from the national treasury
- Authority to seek references from the tenderers bankers
- Stamped and signed power of attorney
Procurement and evaluation will be based on the above details and post qualification criteria as stated in the Instruction to Tenderers. Bid documents must be submitted in plain sealed envelope marked with tender number and description and/or addressed to the above address. Price quoted must be net, inclusive of all Government taxes and remain valid during the whole contract period and deposited in the tender box at the regional offices.
So as to be received by Tuesday, 12th February, 2019 at 10:00 am and Opening of the bids will take place at the Regional offices in Turkana immediately thereafter in presence of bidders or their representatives who wish to attend.
Tenders submitted after the closing date shall be disqualified and return un-opened.
NB:
Canvassing and/or any form of corrupt malpractice intended to influence the outcome of the whole or part of the process will lead to automatic disqualification irrespective of the Procurement stage.
