INVITATION TO TENDER

Dated: 16^th January, 2019

The Kenya Rural Roads Authority hereby invites bids from Registered Contractors in Migori   Region for Routine Maintenance of selected Roads to be funded under the fuel levy as detailed below:

Interested eligible contractors may obtain tender documents from KeRRA website www.kerra.go.ke.Further information can be obtained from the Procurement Office in Migori during normal working hours Monday – Friday (8AM-5PM).

Tenderers are requested to apply for the category of works specified above and in the respective constituency. The following documents must be submitted together with the priced bid. Failure to submit these documents will be a reason for disqualification.

• Certified copy of certificate of Incorporation
• Copy of VAT & PIN registration
• Copy of certificate of registration with the National Construction Authority and practicing licence in Category NCA8 and above to be checked online.
• Copy of valid Tax Compliance Certificate to be confirmed at http://www.kra.go.ke/notices/tcc-checker.html
• Duly filled Confidential Business Questionnaire (CBQ)
• Current CR12 Form from the registrar of companies
• Bank statement for last two months from date of advert
• Current business licence
• Authority to seek reference from tenderers bank
• Major items of construction equipment owned or leased
• Serialisation of all pages of the bid document
• Any other information / condition as stipulated in the tender Documents

Adequacy of qualifications will be determined through an evaluation procedure as described in the bid documents. Interested contractors may bid for more than one tender but will be considered for award for ONLY one tender in the Region.

All Bidders MUST attend a mandatory pretender site visit to be conducted on the date, time and venues stated below. Only duly authorized representatives will be allowed to sign the Pre-Tender Site Visit Register. The dates and venues of the pretender site visits are as follows:

Completed bid documents in plain sealed envelope clearly marked Tender No. and description, “DO NOT OPEN BEFORE 29^th January, 2019 at 11:00Am” should be addressed to the undersigned and deposited in the appropriate tender box situated at the KeRRA Regional Office in Migori.

The tender opening will take place immediately thereafter in the presence of the Tenderers or their representatives who may choose to attend.
