INVITATION TO TENDER
The Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA) is a State Corporation established under the Kenya Roads Act, 2007 with the responsibility for Management, Development, Rehabilitation and Maintenance of Rural Roads network in Kenya.
The Authority hereby invites bids from pre-qualified contractors for the maintenance of the following roads in Meru Region for the financial year 2018/19 to be funded through the Cabinet Secretary Allocation.

Qualification for Tendering (Mandatory)
- Certified copy of Certificate of Incorporation
- Certified National Construction Authority Certificate (NCA) and current License.
- Certified copy of PIN/VAT Registration Certificates.
- Certified copy of Valid Tax Compliance Certificate.
- Experience of the contractor on similar works.
- All forms must be filled and signed appropriately.
- Litigation information.
- Certified copies of CR12 and ID copies of the Directors.
- Proof of attending mandatory pre site visit.
- Proof of pre-qualification in the constituency and category by the Authority.
- All documents must be bound and serialized pages indicated for each bid submitted.
- Properly and dully filled Tender Securing Declaration Forms; stamped and/or sealed; signed with some authorized to do so. (For the special groups only).
Procurement and evaluation will be based on the above details and post qualification criteria as stated in the Instruction to Tenderers. Bid documents must be submitted in plain sealed envelope marked with tender number, road name and Constituency and deposited in the relevant tender box situated at the Kenya Rural Roads Authority – Meru Regional Office, Mwendantu Road – Meru Town or addressed to:

Price quoted must be net, inclusive of all Government taxes and remain valid during the whole contract period.
So as to be received by Monday, 31st December, 2018 at 10:00 am and Opening of the bids will take place at the Regional offices in Meru immediately thereafter in presence of bidders or their representatives who wish to attend.
Canvassing and/or any form of corrupt malpractice intended to influence the outcome of the whole or part of the process will lead to automatic disqualification irrespective of the procurement stage.
Tenders submitted after the closing date and time shall be disqualified and returned to bidder un-opened.
NB:
(i)Tenders that shall not fulfill these conditions will automatically be disqualified.
(ii)One contractor can ONLY be awarded a maximum of two contracts in one
financial year.
