22% RMLF FOR LAISAMIS CONSTITUENCY FY 2017-2018 ROUTINE MAINTENANCE OF VARIOUS ROADS AS LISTED BELOW

The Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA) is a State corporation established under the Kenya Roads Act, 2007, with the responsibility for management, development, rehabilitation and maintenance of rural roads.

The Authority hereby invites PREQUALIFIED BIDDERS ONLY for improvement of the roads to be funded through the Fuel levy as detailed here below:- 

  • SCOPE OF WORKS

The scope of work includes but not limited to:-

  • General, Site clearance, Earthworks, Drainage works, Grading and Gravelling as directed by the Engineer
  • QUALIFICATION FOR BIDDING

The requirements for Bidding are as follows:-

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

  1. Certified copy of Certificate of Incorporation
  2. Certified copy of proof of registration with National Construction Authority.
  3. VAT registration / PIN registration
  4. Valid Tax compliance certificate
  5. Proof of having opened a bank account in the contractor’s name.
  6. Certified YWPD certificate and CR12

TECHNICAL EVALUATION REQUIREMENTS

Thresholds specified in the Bid documents covering the following:

  • Similar previous experience
  • Equipment holding
  • Professional and Technical Personnel
  • Turnover and liquid assets supported by audited accounts for the last 1 year.
  • Current workload
  • Litigation history

Procurement will be based on the post qualification method and the above details will be submitted with the priced Bid.

Bid documents will be available from the KeRRA Offices, MARSABIT, from 27th February 2018 on payment of a non-refundable fee of Kshs. 1,000.00 (One thousand only) by banker’s cheque in favour of “Kenya Rural Roads Authority” against an official receipt of the Authority OR free from the KeRRA Website. Bidders will be required to attend pretender site visit on 7th March 2018 at 10.00 am. Completed Bid documents should be submitted to:
