NOTICE TO ALL PRE-QUALIFIED ROADWORKS CONTRACTORS IN MAKUENI REGION.

INVITATION TO TENDER

The Kenya Rural Roads Authority on behalf of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure hereby invites eligible construction companies pre-qualified under various Categories from Makueni Region to bid for works for CS 10% RMLF Special Allocation funding for 2022/2023 Financial Year for the following roads in Makueni County;

The tender documents will be available for downloading as from Thursaday 4^th May, 2023.

Due to Ministry of Health protocol on covid-19, contractors are required to independently familiarize themselves with the road sites before submitting bid documents.

1. QUALIFICATION FOR TENDERING (OPEN TO ALL BIDDERS)

The requirements for tendering are as follows:-

(a) Certified copy of Certificate of Incorporation

(b) Proof of valid Registration Certificate with National Construction Authority (NCA) category 5, 6 and 7 for Roadworks as indicated in the bid document for Roadworks (Certified).

(c) Thresholds specified in the Tender Documents covering the following:-

1. Qualified Personnel (Attach CVs) (Certified copy).
2. VAT Registration (Certified copy)

• PIN Registration (Certified copy)

1. Valid Tax Compliance Certificate. (Certified copy)
2. Properly filled anti-corruption pledge form.
3. Properly filled Technical Proposal Forms:-
4. Form of tender fully with company’s letter head
5. Litigation History
6. Work Methodology
7. Power of Attorney

• Proof of Bank Account. (Certified copy)
• Pre-qualified in the relevant category.

1. Audited accounts for the last three years. (Certified copy).
2. Proof of equipment holding
3. Past Roadworks experience

• Serialize all pages
• CR12 (Clear copy of I.D)

2. QUALIFICATION FOR TENDERING (SPECIAL GROUPS)

The requirements for tendering are as follows:-

(a) Certified copy of certificate of incorporation

(b) Proof of valid Registration Certificate with National Construction Authority (NCA) category 5, 6 and 7 for Roadworks as indicated in the bid document for Roadworks (Certified).

(c) Thresholds specified in the Tender Documents covering the following:-

1. Qualified Personnel (Attach CVs) (Certified copy).
2. VAT Registration (Certified copy)

• PIN Registration (Certified copy)

1. Valid Tax Compliance Certificate. (Certified copy)
2. Properly filled anti-corruption pledge form.

• Certificate of disadvantaged group Youth, Women and PWD valid for three years. (AGPO) (Certified).
• Proof of equipment holding

1. Serialize all pages
2. CR12 (Clear copy of I.D)

Where certification is required, this shall be by the Commissioner for Oaths.

Procurement shall be based on the post qualification methods and the above details are mandatory and must be submitted with the priced tender.

Tender Documents will be available from KeRRA( Procurement Department) Offices situated at the KeRRA Regional Office in Wote 1Km off Wote – Makindu Road in Makueni from 04.05.2023 upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Kshs. 1,000.00 (One  Thousand Shillings Only), paid directly to Account NO: 1114343196 ,  Name: Kenya Rural Roads Authority to Kenya Commercial Bank, Moi Avenue Branch  against an official receipt of this Authority or download tender document free from the Public Procurement Information Portal (PPIP) www.tenders.go.ke

Application for Tender must be submitted in plain sealed envelopes indicating Tender Number and name of the constituency applied for and deposited in the tender box in KeRRA Makueni Regional Roads Office - in Wote, P.O. Box 87 – 90300, Makueni by 11.00 a.m. on or before Thursday, 11.05.2023.

Opening of the tender documents will be done soon thereafter in presence of bidders who wish to attend.
