RE-TENDER NOTICE

 INVITATION TO TENDERS UNDER 22% AND 10% RMLF ALLOCATION FOR THE FY 2023/2024 IN TANA RIVER REGION

 

Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA) is a state corporation established under the Kenya Roads Act 2007 with a responsibility for Management, development, rehabilitation and maintenance of Rural Roads.

 

Kenya Rural Roads Authority (Tana River Region) wishes to invite sealed tenders from Eligible Prequalified Contractors in the respective Tana River Constituencies for the road works listed below. The tender is open to Registered Contractors in Categories in the Financial Year 2023/2025 as well as Special Groups registered by the National Treasury under categories of Youth, Women and People living with Disability (PWD).

INSTRUCTION TO TENDERERS

 

  1. Qualifications for those bidding under category “ALL”

 

  1. Must be registered in the respective Constituency in Tana River Region in the Financial Year 2023/2025.
  2. Certified Certificate of Incorporation
  3. Current copy of CR12
  4. Valid National Construction Authority practicing licence as a road works contractor (NCA 8 and above).
  5. Attach VAT registration Certificate
  6. Valid Tax Compliance Certificate
  7. Pre-tender site visits. The bidders are encouraged to make personal arrangement to acquaint themselves with the site before submission of the bids and Certificate for site visit form signed.
  8. Litigation history as a sworn affidavit in the last 3 months
  9. Duly filled and stamped form of bid with 192 days’ tender validity from tender date
  10. Duly filled Bid document including Tender questionnaire, Anti- Corruption pledge, Environmental & Social Commitment undertaking, confidential business questionnaire, and Bills of Quantities.
  11. Serialized document in all pages
  12. Equipment holding necessary to undertake the project (if owned attach evidence) if not owned attach valid lease agreement
  13. Audited accounts for previous financial years/Proof of Bank account
  14. CVs and Certificates of technical staff.

Interested eligible bidders may download the tender documents from KeRRA Website www.kerra.go.ke from 5th February, 2024. Tenders sealed in separate envelopes clearly labelled for each Constituency should be addressed to;

  1. Qualifications for those bidding under category: “Youth”, “Women” & “Disabled” Reserved Contracts; they need not to be prequalified in the constituency but must provide the following;
  1. Certified Certificate of Incorporation
  2. Current certified Registration Certificate with National Treasury under the category of Small Works and Engineering (PWD, Youth or Women)
  3. National Council for persons with Disabilities Certificate (PWD).
  4. Certified Copy of CR12 indicating directors, shareholding & Copies directors of IDs or Passport.
  5. Valid National Construction Authority practicing licence as a road works contractor NCA 8 and above.

Tenders MUST be deposited in the Respective Tender Boxes at Tana River Regional office on or before 21st February, 2024 at 10:00A.M.

Submitted bids will be opened publicly immediately after closing time in presence of bidders or their representatives who choose to attend.

Late Bids will be returned unopened.

Prices quoted must remain valid for One Hundred and Ninety Two Days (192 Days) from date of tender opening.

The Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any tender without giving reasons thereof and is not bound to accept the lowest or any tender.
