TENDER NOTICE

(ADDENDUM NO. 1)

PROVISION OF MEDICAL INSURANCE COVER FOR ADDITIONAL STAFF MEMBERS - TENDER NO. KeRRA/08/38/06/ 2022 – 2023

Reference is made to the Tender Notice that appeared in the Authority’s website and the Local Dailies dated 14^th November, 2022.

The Authority has received requests for clarifications for the above-named tender. Interested Bidders are therefore requested to note the following Clarifications and amendments to the requirements for the Tender for Provision of Medical Insurance Cover for KeRRA’s Additional Staff Members – Tender No. KeRRA/08/38/06/ 2022 – 2023;

1. The Tender validity period shall be 182 days from the specified date of opening as given in the Data Sheet.

2. Bidders to Provide a Tender Security in the amount of 600,000. The Format to be as issued with the Tender Document and valid for the period specified under ITT 20.1. Alteration of the format shall lead to disqualification.

3. Submit a written power of attorney authorizing the signatory of the bid to commit the Bidder Executed by a Commissioner for Oaths, in accordance with ITT 21.3.

4. Contingencies provided for in the Price Schedule must be indicated and will only be used as and when required but subject to the Employers written approval.

5. Bidders are requested to replace the following under the Mandatory Requirements for MIP Brokers:

“Must have paid up capital of at least KShs ONE BILLION”

With

“Must have paid up capital of at least KShs 500 MILLION”

6. Bidders are requested to replace the following under Table II Item 2 on Technical Requirements for All Licensed Medical Providers:

“Provide Copy of Audited Financial statements/Accounts for the last three financial years (2019, 2020, and 2021). The accounts must demonstrate a paid-up capital of 10 billion and be certified by an Auditor.”

With

“Provide Copy of Audited Financial statements/Accounts for the last three financial years (2019, 2020, and 2021). The accounts must demonstrate a paid-up capital of 1Billion and be certified by an Auditor”

7. All other information remains the same.
